Studs Terkel Birthday & Radio Archive Launch Celebration

Join us for a celebration of Chicago legendary free spirit, radio host and oral historian Studs Terkel on his 106th birthday. This concert marks the arrival of Studs Terkel’s vast radio archive where 5,600+ programs from his 45 year career will eventually be available for the world to use at studsterkel.org. The concert / party will feature stories from Studs’ friends and colleagues, short audio gems from his archive, and musical performances from the various genres that Studs, the eclectic disc-jockey, loved: jazz, folk, gospel, blues, classical and experimental.
