Clarinetist and composer Jeff Kimmel performs solo as well as trio with his working band which includes Phil Sudderberg on drums and Eli Namay on bass.

Jeff Kimmel is a Chicago-based clarinetist whose work encompasses a commitment to expand the timbral possibilities of the clarinet and bass clarinet. Equally at home in composed and improvised settings, Jeff is a member of a.pe.ri.od.ic, a collective of performers and composers dedicated to notated, acoustic, experimental music and regularly collaborates with Chicago improvisers. His work has been funded by the Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs, and he was selected to attend a residency with Roscoe Mitchell at the Atlantic Center for the Arts.
