Olivia Schreiner: Nascent Things: Artist Talk
@ Tiger Strikes Asteroid Chicago
319 N Albany Ave, Chicago, IL 60612
Opening Sunday, May 20th, from 1PM - 2:30PM
Please join Olivia Schreiner at 1pm on Sunday, May 20 at Tiger Strikes Asteroid for an informal Artist Talk. Schreiner will be in conversation with fellow TSA member, Director of the Cleve Carney Art gallery and partner Justin Witte about Nascent Things now on display through June 16.
Nascent Things is an exhibition of paintings and drawings that reflects Schreiner’s observations of particular light effects in her daily surroundings. In this new body of work, she presents instances when light is emerging from darkness. For Schreiner the contrast that occurs in these transitions is not only visually captivating but also serves as a useful metaphor for the dark and dumbfounding times we find ourselves in.
