TRANSGRESSIONS: To transgress means to go against a proposed boundary, whether physical or abstract.
Through the act of creating ephemeral spaces of possibility and of pushing against limitations (both material and conceptual), this cohort of emerging artists transgress. Their actions take the form of gestures in light, interruptions of space, performance, intervention, film, and the construction of objects that redefine intentionality.
Participating artists are M. Balzekas, Nathan Barksdale, Sam Crespo, Carla Crittenden, Kristine B Easton, Jennifer Franco, Gabriela Ibarra, Rachel Martorana, Eunice Melara, Francisco Meraz, Glenda Lissette, Hana Pecanin, Peter Rattin, Drew Richardson, Daley R., Emilia Saber, Paola Salazar, Alexander Sears, Agnieszka Turek, and Kiki Jia Qi Zhen.
