The Black Experience: is an annual spring celebration of Black Excellence at the School of the Art Institute and Chicago. SAIC is one of the most prestigious art schools in the nation, and has very notable alumni/faculty such as Nick Cave, Rashayla Marie Brown, Denenge Akpem-Duyst, Jefferson Pinder and Dread Scott. This is one of SAIC’s largest, most popular and sought out events of the year. This year we are accompanied with TYGAPAW, DJ Rae Chardonnay,Bonita Appleblunt and MORENXXX who will be guiding us to the promised land. We will be exploring the Black Caribbean with food, sound and art. This event is about black liberation, claiming space, and celebrating all of our successes throughout the year.
