If you missed the opening party, this is a chance to come by and see the work of Goodman’s solo show Tangla. The artist will also be discussing her process and inspirations at 2pm.
Conceived by Chicago-based artist Sara Goodman, Tangla is the act of trying to imagine the color that does not exist. Artist, poet, curator, VJ and teacher, Goodman creates imagined landscapes and portraits with new and old technology. This solo exhibition at Ampersand Cowork, will introduce Tangla via video and works on paper.
The artist received her MFA in poetry from Columbia College, Chicago, and teaches English, Creative Writing, Film Studies, New Media and Video Art at Fusion Academy High School in Evanston, IL.
Curator Laura Ellsworth brings emerging Chicago artists to Ampersand Cowork in bi-monthly exhibitions. Ampersand is a new coworking and event space at 3317 West Fullerton in Logan Square.
