Our 48th #PublicNewsroom will be a Watchdog Training led by the Better Government Association, an organization promoting integrity and transparency in Illinois government. BGA’s Watchdog Training teaches people the tools of journalism so they can hold public officials accountable.
Join us on January 25th for a presentation led by BGA Attorney Matt Topic and Civic Engagement Analyst Annum Haider, who will go over the Open Meetings Act, as well as how and when to make a FOIA request, and how to appeal when a FOIA request is denied. Learn to use these tools to ensure government agencies are open and transparent!
