Handmade Holidays at Lillstreet

Lillstreet’s 42nd annual holiday collection features artwork from over 135 artists working in pottery, jewelry, wood, glass, fiber and paper goods.

Join us from 6 – 9pm for an evening of mingling, jingling, shopping and hands-on art experiences. The evening’s events are listed below – hope to see you there!

1ST FLOOR
Mingle and Jingle: Handmade Holidays Sale
Lillstreet Main Gallery & Shop, 1st Floor
Stop in all evening long and enjoy music, refreshments and good cheer! Find unique, one-of-a-kind holiday gifts in our Handmade Holidays collection.

Drop & Shop: Snowy Villages Craft for Kids
Kidstreet A & B, 1st Floor
Drop In: 6-9pm
Join us and explore winter themes using a variety of materials to create a 3D snowy village.
All ages welcome. Children under 4 must be accompanied by an adult.

Hands-On Demo: Wheelthrowing
Wheel C, 1st Floor
Two Sessions: 6:00-6:55pm | 7:00-7:55pm
Join one of two, one-hour introductions to the potter’s wheel! Get your hands dirty for this experiential learning. Instructors will help you center the clay and get started making some pots.
Ages 14+.

2ND & 3RD FLOORS
Open Artist Studios & Sales
Drop In: 6-9pm
Don’t be shy! Lillstreet is home to nearly 50 professional, independent artists working in private and group studios. During this event, many of them will have open doors to the public. Head on up to our 2nd and 3rd floors to meet the artists, shop directly from their collections and learn more about their practices.

Holiday Portraits

Wear your most festive outfits, and pop up into the portrait studio for a dazzling professional photo. You’ll get a digital image you can use for your holiday cards and more!

Make & Take: Holiday Notecards
Print Studio, 3rd Floor
Drop In: 6-8pm
Learn to use print relief images and type onto paper. Make and take your very own printed notecard from provided designs and letterpress type.
Ages 10+. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Max two children per adult.

Make & Take: Holiday Glass Beads
Glass Studio, 3rd Floor
Two Sessions: 6-7pm | 8-9pm
Create colorful, holiday themed glass beads using a table top torch
Ages 14+. Max 8 students per session. Limit one bead per person.

Make & Take: Fused Glass Star or Tree Ornament
Metals D, 3rd Floor
Two Sessions: 6-7:30pm | 7:30-9pm
Make a star or Christmas tree (with ornaments) out of glass that will be fired in a kiln and ready to be picked up a week later.
Ages 11+. Max 8 students per session. Limit one ornament per person.

Hands-On Demo: Holiday Still-Life Drawing
Drawing and Painting B, 3rd Floor
Drop In: 6-7p
Learn the fundamentals of still-drawing in this fun, interactive demonstration. Try your hand at drawing, or just follow along as the instructor discusses drawing and rendering techniques.

Make & Take: Robot Buddies
3D Print Lab, 3rd Floor
Three Sessions: 6:00-6:30pm | 6:45-7:15pm | 7:30-8pm
Make your own walking robot buddy from everyday materials! In a few easy steps, you’ll learn to build a robotic pal with moving limbs, and leave with the skills to build a whole menagerie!
Max 6 people per session. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Limit one robot per person.
