Juan Giraldo

Juan Giraldo is a Chicago-based documentary photographer born in Colombia and raised in Paterson, New Jersey. Juan’s work explores the personal interior spaces of working people along side photographs of his family — the textures of a working life and the banal indicators of domesticity that shaped his view of the world both as a first generation immigrant and laborer.

Discourse is a bi-monthly lecture series featuring local photographic artists followed by an audience Q&A. Events are free and open to the public.
