Graffiti Jam

Opening Sunday, August 20th, from 1PM - 4PM

Join the artists Miguel Aguilar, Rahmaan Barnes, and Liz Lazdins, as they paint the Art Center’s exterior walls with an interactive mural titled Children of the Wall. The Graffiti Jam is a public introduction of the project, which will change over time with new input from new artists in response to current events and important issues in the neighborhood.

The event features special performances by DJ Lunchbox Law and Urbanized Music, an open mic, live painting with collaborating artists (GLOE, Raven,and others) and interactive activities for the public to contribute their thoughts to the wall. Refreshments will be served.

Children of the Wall is held in conjunction with the 2017 Chicago Architecture Biennial: Make New Histories.
