Sculpture around Town: Art in the City

@ Chicago Cultural Center

78 E Washington St, Chicago, IL 60602

Opening Wednesday, June 21st, from 6PM - 8PM

On view through Sunday, June 25th

Come see the variety of outdoor three-dimensional artworks that are made in Chicago as we celebrate 2017—the Year of Public Art!

Chicago Sculpture International (CSI) is giving tours of outdoor public art works of CSI sculptors in Sculpture in the Parks (18 free-standing sculptures near our parks’ cultural centers), and the Chicago Tree Project (30 sculptures made from the parks’ dead trees), exhibits sponsored by the Chicago Park District. There will be three trolley tours with stops at sculptures, and with artists talking about their works. The two-hour tours will be given in three different areas on three different days:

North—Rogers Park to Pilsen, Wednesday, June 21, 6-8pm
Lakefront—Edgewater to Jackson Park, Saturday, June 24, 10 am-12 pm
South—South of Cermak to West Pullman (123rd south), Sunday, June 25, 12-2 pm

All three tours will leave from and return to the Cultural Center downtown, 78 E. Washington St., Chicago, IL 60602. For each tour, there will be a tour guide who will provide information about the parks and the sculptures.
