Public Newsroom #16: The TRiiBE—Another Life

The Public Newsroom is excited to host The TRiiBE, a new digital media platform showcasing innovative content to reshape the narrative of Black millennials in Chicago. On May 4 at 6p, TRiiBE co-founders Morgan Elise Johnson and Tiffany Walden will host a screening of their original docu-poetry series “Another Life,” a meditation on mental health and trauma featuring local Chicagoans coping with death, self-care and plans for the future after personal loss.

After the screening, Tiffany and Morgan (the director and producer of the films) will facilitate a discussion on the long-lasting trauma within Chicago’s Black millennial community in the aftermath of gun violence and the role media plays in this trauma.
