Forms & Features: Celebrating the Poetry of Audre Lorde
@ DuSable Museum of African American History
740 E 56th Pl, Chicago, IL 60637
Opening Tuesday, May 30th, from 7PM - 9PM
Join us for a discussion and creative writing workshop celebrating the poetry of Audre Lorde, self-described “black, lesbian, mother, warrior, poet,” who, in both her work and life, argued that differences are a “reason for celebration and growth.”
Led by Poetry Foundation Library Coordinator Maggie Queeney, the group will discuss the poetry of Audre Lorde. Participants will compose original poems that respond to, and celebrate, Audre Lorde’s work.
