How do we deconstruct the inexplicable? What does the resistance look like?
When the impossible happens, it is art’s responsibility to dissect and examine, undermining forms of making and thinking. Deconstructed, Not Destroyed brings together the work of fourteen artists investigating modes of representation in photography, installation, and performance. Exploring identity and race, surveillance and activism, relationships and memories generates dialogues within our current social and political landscape to reconstruct our sense of place and purpose as artists.
