Virgil Thomson’s Portraits: Lecture and Concert

Join DePaul Music School Professor Jeffrey Kowalkowski and his MUS-102 Composition and Sound Art class for an informal lecture and concert in tribute to the music of Virgil Thomson, whose 1920s opera is the namesake of DPAM’s current exhibition “Four Saints in Three Acts.” Professor Kowalkowski will speak about Thomson’s infamous musical “portraits” and his students will perform works inspired by the composer.
