Sandra Holubow: The First 200 Years: A Celebration Of The Illinois Bicentennial
@ Village Hall Art Gallery, Village Hall Lincolnwood
6900 N Lincoln Ave, Lincolnwood, IL 60712
Opening Monday, January 16th, from 5PM - 7PM
On view through Monday, February 27th
Artist Sandra Holubow’s paintings and collages will be on exhibit at the Village Hall Lincolnwood. Her art showing small town Main Street theaters that reflect the exodus from these areas and stand alone family farms set apart from nearby corporate farms and housing developments illustrate the growth and evolution of our state. She feels that nature, time, and the need to adapt to change have impacted all communities, and she has sought to honor and document them before they vanish and are forgotten.
Holubow, best known for her award winning cityscapes, has earned many grants and has exhibited, curated, and juried shows. Her work can be seen in the Koehnline Museum, the University of Wisconsin Student Union, Madison, and in the Mantle Rock Culture Center, a Trail of Tears Tribe, Marion, KY.
