The Overlook is excited to announce our first artist collaboration opening featuring new work by our November/December artists in residence, Keara McGraw and Zelda Galewsky.
Join us Friday, January 6 at IN HOUSE (3520 W Armitage) to see Zelda and Keara’s collaborative animation as well as a collection of original frames and process work.
Zelda Galewsky and Keara McGraw are illustrators and printmakers practicing in Chicago, IL whose work span from print and web editorial to sculpture, textile and fine art. They both hold a BFA in illustration from Columbia College Chicago. Their work in collaboration explores decaying matter and life’s cyclical currents. Mushrooming is an animation short depicting the subject of death and life after death in nature, through both realism and abstraction, and with found sound.
The night will feature a live set by Eric Newmiller.
