Josh Dihle: Reverse Rehearsal

Reverse Rehearsal will be the first installation in the McAninch Art Center lobby of 2017. Featuring paintings and masks by Josh Dihle, Reverse Rehearsal is organized by color and divided into three acts: yellow, blue, and red. Dihle’s paintings of hidden heads, dangerous shapes, and wafting color fogs are hung among his masks, as if abstract painting were performed as a tragic farce. Dihle’s work will be on display in the Art Center lobby until April 9, 2017.

The Spring 2017 lobby exhibitions are being curated by Magalie Guerin.
