Rafael E. Vera: Variations on a Theme

Rafael E. Vera combines sculpture, installation, drawing, printmaking, performance and collaboration into a complex artistic practice. His highly-crafted work offers an ambiguous narrative of place, form, materiality and domestic life.

Vera studied art and architecture in his native Venezuela before transferring to the School of the Art Institute, where he received both bachelor’s and master’s degrees in fine arts.

EXHIBIT EVENTS on Tuesday, October 18:
-Slide Lecture, 2 p.m., Painting Studio
-Reception for the Artist, 3 p.m., Exhibition Space

This exhibit is open to the community Monday through Thursday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., from October 10 to November 10, 2016.
