@ Loyola University Museum of Art
820 N Michigan Ave, Chicago, IL 60611
Opening Tuesday, October 25th, at 6PM
Gustavo Leone, Professor of Music at Loyola University Chicago, will discuss San Ignacio, an opera composed in the Jesuit missions in the 17th century. It will be performed at the Art Institute of Chicago in November. In the Jesuit missions of South America, music, like the visual arts, was used in religious ceremonies to engage devotees.
