Over the past 6 months Alberto Aguilar has drawn us (and now you) to the Art Institute of Chicago Museum Education Department to inquire, to imagine, to repeat, to share, to touch, converse and create. To repeat. Aguilar created [a] room for intimacy in the museum, and in this final presentation, has invited others to do the same.

For the finale of a yearlong residency at the Art Institute of Chicago Alberto Aguilar has invited fellow artists to intervene within his Modern Wing studio space. The resulting exhibition is an interactive art experience located in the Museum Education area. Exhibition participants are also part of a video series created by Aguilar wherein Chicago-based artists guide him to a formative work on display in AIC’s museum collection (Watch Formative Work videos here: http://www.artic.edu/formative-works).
