Risa Recio and Thomas Huston come together with concepts and materials from their respective projects to create something new. The notion of the “team†resides in both artists’ practices; with Recio’s efforts in the glass studio requiring several people in the manipulation of molten glass and Huston’s project helping artists transport their works with the protective layers of standard moving blankets.
For this show, the collaboration extends beyond the intentions of the artists. The materials—glass, moving blankets, and physics—have their own relationships that dictate the final forms. These works will be on view from Friday, August 26 through Monday, August 29. A publication will accompany the exhibition with documentation of the process and an essay by John Tennison.
