Avital Meshi extracts ready-made, female avatars from the virtual-reality and projects them in the space in real-life size. The virtual presence descends into the uncanny valley as the avatars stand face to face with the audience in a simulated club setting.

Avital Meshi is a Chicago based artist. She recently graduated her BFA from the School of The Art Institute. Her main theme revolves around Virtual-Reality and Technology-mediated Reality. Meshi is mainly curious about moments in which the boundaries of the real world and the virtual world blur to form a mixed-reality.
