An exhibition curated by Emily Owen featuring work by:
Joey Asal
David Hall
Cathy Hsaio
Eva Maria Lourdes Martinez

The School of the Art Institute of Chicago is not just a cohort of artists mastering their craft, but also an incubation ground for innovative thought processes and collaborations explored through making. This exhibition showcases hybridized media works by three artists at SAIC who deal with themes of cognition, translation, and process to push the boundaries of conventional thought. In parallel with these selections, the three artists collaborated with artist/curator Emily Owen to create “Action Interviews” that use artistic processes to tell an embodied story of thinking, making, and thinking through making.

The opening reception will feature a participatory experience crafted by artist Joey Asal.
