We are proud to present Brett Ian Balogh, the second speaker in our Comfort Society series of talks this summer sponsored by Intelligentsia Coffee.

Artist and instructor Balogh will talk about the energies of the electromagnetic spectrum as a space not unlike our physical environment and how this space might be sensed, mapped and used as a medium for creative endeavors.

Balogh is a Chicago-based artist working at the intersection of objects, sounds and spaces. He is currently an instructor at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, the University of Illinois at Chicago and the Illinois Institute of Technology, teaching courses in new media, architecture, digital fabrication, radio and sound. He is a free103point9 transmission artist and has exhibited and performed at P.S.1 (New York), Diapason (New York), Devotion Gallery (New York), The MCA (Chicago) and The Hyde Park Arts Center (Chicago) among others.

Comfort Society is a series of talks on anything from the useful to the unexpected. The series takes place at noon on Sundays at Comfort Station, Logan Square.

Talks are free and coffee is served.
