As a part of A+D Gallery’s current exhibition, The Moments Between: New Work by Rafael E. Vera, Erik L. Peterson will present Tip Tap Tow, an urban tap dance piece with an exploded stage in collaboration with Kendra Jorstad. For this event, Peterson created three small tap floors using construction pallets, which three “workers” will tow around the city block surrounding the A+D Gallery using hand-operated pallet jacks. Dancers from Jorstad’s jorsTAP company will lounge, Luncheon on the Grass-style, whilst being towed and then will dance in short 3- minute bursts as their stage is set on the ground by the workers. Documentation of this work will also be shared at the Some Moments event at A+D Gallery on February 7.
