Naama Arad & Kendall Babl: A/B
@ Julius Caesar
3311 W Carroll Ave. Chicago, IL 60624
Opening Sunday, January 11th, from 1PM - 4PM
On view through Sunday, February 8th
I happily announce our first show of the New Year, a group show structured around the concept of a Venn diagram. JC welcomes Naama Arad and Kendall Babl in comparison, commonality, and unity.
Arad and Babl operate within the conditions making language possible. The structure of language becomes a means of apprehension, exploration, and expression. Sculpture is their medium. Units make up their marks.
Their subject matter diverges beyond ontological concerns. Arad inhabits the conditioning forms of architectures through low-cost commodities, while Babl reveals the pressure between built-world life and Nature.
For A/B, let Kendall Babl be a groomed field, and Naama Arad the dividing wall.
