Introducing Richard Medina Richard Medina is a Chicago-area high school sophomore conceptual artist. He works with texture, music, and light to create film and installation assemblages. In Tiny Gallery he will be presenting his installation assemblage, “Splendor”. Tiny Gallery is a “pop up” art gallery additionally it is located in my Edgewater home. It is roughly 54″ wide by 75″ long by 66″ tall. I designed it to give the viewer an claustrophobic form of intimacy with the work being displayed. It can contain about two people at a maximum. It is the anti gallery of galleries. The vision of this gallery is to take the viewer into a space of extreme closeness and comfort with the work. To allow only for close inspections and to redefine and challenge what a gallery means. It’s really a bit of prank on the art world.

Please Note: Gallery will be open Friday November 21 – 6 to 9PM Friday November 28 – 11AM to 3PM and 6 to 9PM Saturday November 29 – 11AM to 3 PM and 6 to 9PM Friday December 5 – 11AM to 3 PM and 6 to 9PM Saturday December 6 –11AM to 3 PM and 6 to 9PM Friday December 12 – 11AM to 3 PM and 6 to 9PM Saturday December 13 –11 AM to 3 PM 6 to 9PM Ring under “Miles” for Entrance Weekdays by appointment.
