Ama Iromuanya and Alex Leasure may have compromised our security deposit, but we are pleased to exhibit their collaborative installation, Innervated Alloy. The artists worked within the exhibition space constructing works out of concrete in hopes to sift through the material’s inherent relations to strength. Six hundred pounds of concrete will be testing the tensile strength of our floor boards. The process of solidification is the anchoring concept of this multi-media show. The different mediums allow for various reiterations of exploration, resembling the process of innervation. Just like veins, the works presented in the show supply the vital fluid necessary to sustain the circular flow of ideas and creation.
