9th Annual Juried Photography Exhibition

April 2014 (Chicago) – Morpho Gallery is pleased to announce its 9th annual juried photo exhibition. This exhibition features the work of nineteen photographers from around the country.
John Morrison is a Commercial and Fine Art photographer, currently living and working in Chicago. Originally from NJ, John cut his teeth as an assistant, first in New York City, and then, later, in Chicago, including 15 years running his own commercial studio in Chicago, John’s career currently spans 30 years of work as a free-lance and stock photographer. Additionally for the last 20 of those years, John has been teaching advanced lighting and shooting classes, as a part-time faculty member, in the Columbia College Chicago Photography Department. Over the last four years, John has also served as Coordinator for Columbia’s Photography Dept. Internship Program, bringing his years of knowledge and experience to bear in helping students to begin, and advance their careers.
John’s work is included in the permanent collection of the Polaroid Corporation, and several other corporate as well as many private collections. John Morrison has selected the following artists to exhibit:
Jeff Edwards, Brett Stoddart, Mike Callaghan, Paul Ponticell, Kathleen Ellen Marshall, Glen Gross, Cora Jacobs, James Richards, Doug Haight, Ranran Fan, Gail Marquardt, Klaus Knoll, Martha Kubica, Max Cozzi, Rebecca Power, Rachel Cain, Pia Laipert, and Marydorsey Wanless
Winner(s) from this exhibition will be announced at the opening night reception. The winner(s) will then participate in October 2014 exhibition at Morpho Gallery during Chicago Artist Month.
