John Wanzel: The Fictional Sciences

The Fictional Sciences include: scaled drawings of the sun; studies in evaporation; drawings of rocks; and a list of science fiction novels read May 2010 – present.

John Wanzel’s work has shown at FiveMyles (Brooklyn), the Kitchen, apexart, 13E Gallery (Manhattan), Dogmatic, 1/Quarterly and Deadtech (Chicago). He received a BFA from School of the Art Institute of Chicago and an MFA in Studio Arts from Parsons the New School for Design where he received the Jacques and Natasha Gelman Trust Fellowship. He has also completed residencies at the Experimental Sound Studio and Mildred’s Lane. Wanzel works at the Queens Museum and lives in Brooklyn.
