We’ve been thinking about how it is that often how we perceive reality is not actual reality, and wondering if it’s possible or necessary to put the pieces together. With a strong conviction to approach the page without any preconceived notions comes Solomon, armed with only an iPhone 4s panoramic camera feature, an impressive résumé, and some beautiful places around the world. The result is a kind of stressed landscape; some of it is lost, some of it distorted, some of it maintained, and perhaps the whole of it is something altogether different than what we imagine it to be.
The reception will be hosted at the private workspace and studio of Canvas Chicago, on December 7th, 2013, from 7-11PM. Canvas is a community of artists, entrepreneurs, and producers that create unique events where new work can be experienced. We’re super happy to be working with the Canvas crew and think they’re up to great things you should definitely know about. Canvas is located at 2313 W North Avenue in Chicago, IL.
