Adds Donna is pleased to host a special performance by Coppice on Sunday, October 13, at 3 p.m. as part of the closing reception for Alexis Petroff – Floating Drawings. The gallery will be open from 1 – 4 p.m.

Coppice, consisting of Noé Cuéllar and Joseph Kramer, have been composing and performing for an assortment of bellows and electronics within a range of settings since 2009. Coppice will perform “music that only works together”, the entirety of Big Wad Excisions, their latest release on Quakebasket – with prepared pump organ and custom electronics. Their sound intimates something just below the threshold of articulation that can instead be comprehended through the body. Their attention to nuance is especially felt witnessed live. Weather permitting, the live set will take place on the roof of Adds Donna, with the autumnal Chicago skyline as a backdrop.
