From Michael and Oliver, with love.
Utensils are a means regardless of their function. Images and objects are soft and muddy. An image is in constant flux. As it falls through the mind as a thing slides through space.
Brash to say the image is itself and its subject. Hiccupping between an all over effect and undivided attention. It looks the same overturned, a backwards and forwards redundancy, a sort of apparition in space/time time/space. You can hold your breath you can drink your water.
Happy in leisure, leisurely happy. Effort? yes, but you know the way a California sun ripens pale, saved from turning blue.
Michael Madrigali, born in Santa Barbara, CA, is an artist who currently lives and works in Chicago. He will complete his BFA at the School Art Institute of Chicago spring 2013. Recent group exhibitions include Salmagundi (Alcatraz), Gif Shop (Courtney Blades) and Tilt Shift (Sullivan Galleries).
