Chaz Evans, Amber Ginsburg, and Hoyun Son: Value – Assigned, Transposed and Imagined
@ Chicago Artists' Coalition
217 N. Carpenter Street
Opening Friday, February 15th, at 6PM
On view through Thursday, March 7th
Chicago Artists Coalition is pleased to present Value: Assigned, Transposed and Imagined a three-person exhibition curated by HATCH Curatorial Residents, Happy Collaborationists (Anna Trier and Meredith Weber). In this exhibition, HATCH Projects Artists, Chaz Evans, Amber Ginsburg, and Hoyun Son, engage in the creation and preservation of object-based histories through construction of maps, the juxtaposition of old and new technologies, and the re-appropriation of daily ritual. Exploring the assigned, shared and imagined function of daily objects, the artists question their value as they circulate in and out of an art context.
There will be an opening reception on Friday, February 15, 2012, and the exhibition will run through March 7, 2013.
