For the Happy Collaborationists NOSTALGIA series Ashley looks to her Scottish heritage and youthful energy for dance. These memories become fodder for her continued search for the space where abstract painting, soft-sculpture and performative props meet. For this installation she has created an inflatable “discobag” – a combination garment and bagpipe. Viewers are welcome to don the ‘discobag’ during the opening and dance.
