A Walk-by Window Installation
Curated by: Kevin Wilson

Montgomery Perry Smith is a sculpture and fiber-based artist working within the realm of myth and memory. His work, constructed out of collected materials and fabric bring up ideas of the home and the objects we connect to within, however, the final constructions take on the form of bizarre creatures of a time and land of another world. With connections to the body and often humorous titles, there is an odd quality in the appearance of each piece, bringing viewers in closer to the work and the strange forms it possesses.

The Chicago Urban Art Society in association with the Chicago Loop Allicance’s Pop-Up Art Loop Program presents the work of Montgomery Perry Smith as part of “INCUBATORS”, a curatorial project and extension of the Chicago Urban Art Society (CUAS) that creates an environment to promote the growth and exposure of young artists in the city.
