Honoring artist Riva Lehrer, guests will hear from Arts of Life artists directly and experience a vibrant program featuring magician and artist Jeanette Andrews, a drag performance by Orchid, a debut music video by Arts of Life band Van Go Go produced by Natalie Bergman, a custom playlist by Sadie Woods, sweet and savory treats by Dream CakeTest Kitchen, cocktails by Pour Souls and a special celebrity appearance by Jimmy Kimmel. Proceeds from the benefit will directly impact Arts of Life artists and programming. Molina’s interest in language brings her paintings to life through moments of poetic observation. Stage employs photography to unearth desolate spaces and allow for sudden moments of beauty to be revealed. Ruiz takes a formal approach to her material pairings, inventing new landscapes that blend both artificial and natural elements. Schlagbaum explores happiness as a form of social control that prescribes correct lifestyles, pursuits, and modes of being.
