produced by the graduating students of The Master of Arts in Visual and Critical Studies Program
Traces is a rethinking of exhibitions and symposia
which will include a day of talks, performances, and artworks
by 2019 MAVCS students: Caroline Bellios, Viviana De La Rosa, Leandro Martinez Depietri, Leslie Frempong, C. Noel Kirsch, Al Knodel, Katy Snow Niner, Adrian Garcia Orozco, Xenia Gazi, Lindsey Michelle Scott, and Rohan Ayinde Smith.
The event will also include a keynote conversation with makers and thinkers including: Jeremy Biles, Assistant Professor of Liberal Arts at SAIC; Marcela Fuentes, Assistant Professor of Performance Studies at Northwestern University; Kristi Ann McGuire, Adjunct Associate Professor in Visual and Critical Studies at SAIC; Renaud Proch, Executive Director of Independent Curators International; and Beverly Serrell, Museum Consultant and founder of Serrell and Associates.
