@ Beverly Arts Center
2407 W 111th St, Chicago, IL 60655
Opening Sunday, March 3rd, from 2PM - 4PM
On view through Sunday, April 7th
Five artists meditate on the mystery, magic, and beauty of our planet, and humankind’s detachment from nature’s wisdom. As “modern” societies have become less connected to the natural world, our indifference and hubris have led to the decline and disappearance of important ecological habitats and biodiversity. The world that sustains us is slipping through our grasp. (The title comes from the poem, “Sleeping In The Forest” by Mary Oliver.)
Featuring works by Sharon Bladholm, Jennifer Cronin, Victoria Fuller, Elaine Miller, and Brian Ritchard.
Curated by Sal Campbell and Carla Winterbottom of the Beverly Area Arts Alliance.
