Readings from Laura Adamcyzk, J.R. Nelson, Jeff Sherfey, and Frank Hill. And maybe some special candy! Details to come.
Originally from Albany, NY, Frank Hill moved to Chicago for love in 1995. Shortly thereafter, love moved to Nashville and took the cat. Frank is a recovering attorney who lives with his wife and daughter in Evanston, Illinois. His poem Why I Can’t Write is forthcoming in Communion Arts Journal.
J.R. Nelson is a writer from Chicago, Illinois whose work has appeared in the Chicago Reader, Pitchfork, Village Voice, MTV.com and other web and print periodicals. In addition to managing Myopic Books, J.R. frets about his rapidly aging body, the Chicago White Sox and the continuing prospect of participating in social media to the point of, conversely, becoming emotionally barren.
Jeff Sherfey is a poet currently residing in Chicago. Having lived in Florida, Georgia, New York, and Oregon, he now takes (in both arms) the Mid-West to be his home. His debut book of poetry, Swimming Pools, was put out by Polyploid Press. Jeff’s poetry draws from the belief that sound empathy is a spiritual grace and that the writing and reading of it is like being permitted to return to a meadow.
