“Wade in the water,
Wade in the water, children…”

In this workshop, Rootwork Founder Tracie Hall shares her grandmother’s homemade herbal flower (or “Florida” water) recipe and joins forces with veteran herbal healing practitioner, Rev. Kimberly Crutcher to guide attendees through a sampling of other folk-recipes used to harness water’s innate powers.

We will also take the opportunity of being together to examine a chapter of Akasha Gloria Hull’s powerful womanist text “Soul Talk,” am early examination of the ways in which Black women have integrated ancestral communications into a unique and specific spirituality.

Please bring two small, sealable clear jars or bottles to transport your Florida and herbal waters. Requested Donation for supplies: $7. But no one will be turned away.

Please rsvp in the comments to affirm your attendance. Limited to the first 22 ppl to do so.

Current exhibition will be on view for 30 minutes before and after workshop.
