In this Carol Given Winston Lecture, hear from Christa Clarke, senior curator of the arts of global Africa at the Newark Museum, as she discusses how the display of African art in American museums influences meaning making and perceptions of the art and culture of the continent. Afterwards, join in a conversation with Clarke and the Art Institute curator Constantine Petridis as they examine current questions about representation and point of view.
