Aug 10th 2018

Join us for Out of the Frame, a second Friday performance collaboration with Hubbard Street Dance and Chicago Artist, E. LEE on Friday, August 10th, from 6-9pm. Framed pieces, paintings and dance will interact to activate the space, expanding themes of movement and the tradition of trompe l’oeil painting.

Hubbard Street Dance Chicago’s core purpose is to bring artists, art and audiences together to enrich, engage, educate, transform and change lives through the experience of dance. Under the artistic leadership of Glenn Edgerton, Hubbard Street continues to innovate, supporting ascendant creative talent while presenting repertory by internationally recognized living artists. Hubbard Street has grown through the establishment of multiple platforms alongside the Lou Conte Dance Studio — now in its fifth decade of providing a wide range of public classes and pre-professional training — while extensive Youth, Education, Community, Adaptive Dance and Family Programs keep the organization deeply connected to its hometown. Visit hubbardstreetdance.com for artist profiles, touring schedules, and much more.

E. LEE is a painter living and working in Chicago. He has shown in Chicago, Paris and created public works in the US, UK, the Netherlands, Spain and Japan. His love of art history is apparent as he applies a minimalist esthetic and classic trompe l’oeil techniques to symbols of today’s popular culture
