About the Festival:
Twisted Oyster aims to raise awareness and expand knowledge about the human condition as a whole. The works created by culturally diverse artists and filmmakers from around the world open doors to great human tales and spectators are introduced to technologically produced artwork that speaks about global social issues and basic social rights in humanity. The festival is presented as an annually themed-based film and new media art exhibition that showcases and promotes the works of both aspiring and established professionals. The goal of the festival is to bridge culture, society and technology through powerful content programming, while focusing on engagement, enhancing access, and shedding light on social issues.The festival’s program consists of:
Film and time-based art exhibition
Outreach program
Twisted Oyster’s Outreach Program: (1) filmmakers and artists create a public dialogue or lecture, (2) invite young, high school- and community college-level artists to participate in the exhibition, and (3) filmmakers and artists are invited to conduct a workshop or presentation for our invited teen artists.
