Join Love & Protect and friends as we screen print t-shirts and tote bags and buttons to fundraise for our upcoming work!
We are launching a new event series called Building Towards Freedom which seeks to raise awareness around the criminalization of survival, and the need for racial and gender justice movements to make their campaigns and spaces more inclusive to trans and gender non-conforming/non-binary folks. We are launching the series on Thursday, Oct 26th with a screening of Free CeCe, a documentary about CeCe McDonald, who will be in attendance and in conversation after the screening with LaSaia Wade of the Chicago BTGNC Collective.
We are hoping to have shirts, tote bags, and buttons available at the screening to raise funds to cover the costs of the event as well as for future events in the Building Towards Freedom series. Please join us on Sunday October 1st for an art making party! All skill levels are welcome! Snacks will be provided.
*Unfortunately, the elevator in the building is under renovation, and this space is on the second floor and currently inaccessibe by wheelchair.
