Opening Friday, October 13th, from 7PM - 8PM
On view through Saturday, October 28th
You are cordially invited to the performance of A Study in Rhyme & Song: Then There Were None by Sadie Woods at the Loyola Redline stop (outdoors) 1200 W Loyola Ave, Chicago, IL 60626, on Friday, October 13, from 7:00-8:00pm.
Pulling from the Minstrel show tunes “Ten Little Nigger Boys” and “Ten Little Injuns”, A Study in Rhyme & Song: Then There Were None confronts the history of media representation in education and entertainment. An audio collage soundtracks concurrent choreographed movement exploring themes of the school-to-prison pipeline, gun culture in America and social justice hashtags, masculinity and queer culture, and comic relief.
