Taken from the act of writing marginalia in a book, Marginalia considers the marks, scrawls, and comments that readers interject into a text. Key questions artists address include: how can marginalia re-frame the center, or create multiple centers? How can the act of creating marginalia promote active rather passive readers? How can performance catalyze new ways of being, build community, and reveal options for moving forward?
