What makes a neighborhood good? How would you design your ideal neighborhood? Your ideal city?

During this week’s #PublicNewsroom we’re exploring these questions with Chicago Architecture Foundation’s Vice President of Education and Experience Gabrielle Lyon as she presents the graphic novel “No Small Plans” (http://www.architecture.org/teach-learn/no-small-plans/).

“No Small Plans” follows Chicago youth as they steward what they want changed about their city. This week, Public Newsroom guests will learn about the book and also explore this theme themselves by designing their ideal neighborhood.

Attendees who stay for the entire workshop will receive a free copy of “No Small Plans” and books will also be available for purchase. Each copy sold allows CAF to give away a book to a Chicago teen.

Our weekly #PublicNewsroom workshop series is always free and always open to the public thanks to you support. Youth and communities interested in stotyetlling, media, art and civic engagement are encouraged to attend.
