LVL3 presents Displaced Desire, a two-person show featuring Chicago-based Christopher Meerdo and Brooklyn-based Cecilia Salama. Meerdo’s multidimensional practice, rooted in image research, explores the manifestation of meaning through digital translation. Salama’s process-driven work renders materials to sift through virtual interests and relationships. Displaced Desire calls to attention the isolation of their focus and their evaluation of something reimagined. LVL3 pairs Meerdo and Salama in a display that brings together their exploration and views on the particular effects our digital age has had upon – in some ways becoming – real life.
